Title: Senior Software Engineer
Qualifications:
- Expert in modern C++ (using STL, and meta programming with templates, aka, static polymorphism)
- Proficient in Boost Libraries in general, including Boost Crypto, Boost log2
- Proficient in mulch-threaded programming and networking programming using Boost Thread and Boost ASIO libraries
- Proven experience and skill in developing software in the Linux programming environment (we use Ubuntu 8.10/9.04/9.10/10.04)
- Proficient in Linux system programming
- Deep and extensive knowledge about the HTTP protocol (HTTP 1.0/1.1) and the ability to trace protocol traffic using tools such as wireshark
- Experience in implementing custom HTTP server engines
- Strong in test-driven design
- Seasoned in using standard development and documentation tools such as gcc, g++, gdb, ddd, GNU Make, GNU
- Emacs, vim, sed, awk, Code::Blocks, CMake, CPack, CTest, subversion version control system., git, doxygen, restructuredtext etc.
- Proficient in concepts of REST Web Services as applied to storage clouds such as AWS S3, Google Storage for developers, Microsoft Azure Storage Service – Blob Services, and EMC Atmos
- Proficient in the use of Boost Test Library for unit testing
- Competent in scripting languages such as bash, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby.
- Proficient in using virtualization technologies (KVM, Xen, VirtualBox, VMWare Workstation, VMWare Server)
- Excellent technical communication skills (verbal and written)
- Competent in using alternative computing platforms: Microsoft Windows, Apple MacOS X, various BSD Unices
- BSCS or better, or equivalent
