Leonid Gozman comments to the article published by Matt Marshall of VentureBeat
Mathew,
It was an unpleasant surprise when I saw your article: http://venturebeat.com/2010/06/06/investing-in-russia-hire-body-guards-and-hunker-down/.
In your article you grossly disguised my words and misrepresented my point of view. For instance, the assertion that Russian citizens need a tzar is most racist thing to say about my people. As a matter of fact, what you have mentioned in your article, is the most offensive stereotype in relation to my country, that we will not tolerate or stand for. I will never agree with your point of view of modern Russia. I have always tried my best to prove the case that people in my country are just like any other nation that wants democracy, freedom, prosperity and personal independence. I truly hope that you will avoid making such unfortunate mistakes in your public communications, especially quoting other people you spoke to.
I expect you to make a public statement with an apology on your website, where your original article was published.
Best regards,
Leonid Gozman
