The company is located in Sunnyvale, CA.
Position Overview and Responsibilities
============================
This position reports to the VP of Product Management at company headquarters in Silicon Valley. Travel is expected to be a minor part of the job’s requirement, maybe 10% overall. The position will have these characteristics and responsibilities:
- Own certain customer-focused and/or service-focused projects and manage them all the way from pre-sales activities to contract negotiations, PRD creation, project plan, product development, test, integration, trials and launch to meet the customer needs.
- Collect customer and market requirement and translate them to product requirements.
- Own certain applications, services, product components; take the lead role in defining and implementing them while coordinating with the rest of the system and the rest of the team
- Drive and coordinate a cross-functional team, create project schedules, track execution
- Manage Beta test, Field trials, and service provider customer Lab submissions for respective projects
- Lead the creation of product documentation, artwork, and other product marketing collateral for the respective products/projects- Own customer interactions, schedule tracking, problem resolution and other external activities within owned projects
- Contribute to 4Homemedia standardization and other industry avocation efforts
Position Requirements
=================
- College degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
- 3+ years work experience in Product or Project Management
- Proven record of successful product launches to the residential or business markets, experience with broadband service providers is a major plus
- Ability to keep the right balance between time-to-market and quality requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong sense of ownership, ability to work in dynamic environment with minimal or no supervision.
- Knowledge of home networking and broadband technologies, services, best practices
- General understanding of Networking, Media technologies, Services deployment concepts
- Proficiency in using industry common Product and Project management tools
